Jadyn Ide-Pech

Class of 2025

Jadyn Ide-Pech

My name is Jadyn Ide-Pech. I am a graduating Senior finishing my degree in chemical biology. My time at Rensselaer has had an incredible impact on my confidence and my understanding of my values. Before coming to RPI I struggled with severe social anxiety and self doubt, but being a student at RPI means countless opportunities to put yourself out there. From class presentations, to asking to join research labs, to finding community service and club opportunities on campus, in Troy, and beyond, RPI really forces you out of your comfort zone in the best way possible. I am a strong believer in the fact that you cannot improve at anything if there isn’t at least some amount of struggle or pain involved. As an RPI student, I found myself failing and feeling embarrassed, nervous, or under qualified countless times. Yet, for some reason, I always found myself jumping back into another scary and uncertain opportunity with the mindset that no matter what happens, there is always something to be learned. RPI trains you to push yourself in the most valuable ways and to not be afraid of failure.
